The exam and the x-rays are free
Not a discount, and not a limited offer. A standard adult adjustment here is $45. Your first visit is also $45 — and the consultation, the full examination, any x-rays you need and your care plan are all included on top of it.
Most clinics split that across three appointments and three bills. We do it in one, and you know the price before you walk in.
Your first visit
in one appointment
- A consultation with Dr. Tyler included Where it hurts, how long, what you have already tried.
- A thorough examination included Orthopedic and neurological testing, range of motion, how your spine actually moves.
- Any x-rays you need included Taken here, same visit. No referral, no imaging center, no second trip.
- Your first adjustment $45 Same visit, if it is right for what we found. Most people are treated on day one.
A standard adult adjustment here is $45 — the same price as the whole first visit. So the consultation, the examination and the x-rays cost you nothing.
Your care plan comes at visit two, once Dr. Tyler has your exam and x-rays in front of him — what he found, the plan, and what it costs.
And what it isn't
- No contract to sign
- No membership fees
- No pressure to prepay — paying per visit is always fine
- No insurance to bill, and no bill three weeks later
Rather prepay? Blocks of 12 or 24 visits save 15% — optional, and nobody will push you.

Straight answers
The three things people actually worry about
“You don't take insurance?”
No — on purpose. Billing insurance means a coder, a claims process, and appointments cut short to make the numbers work. We would rather post our prices and give you the time.
- You always know the price $45 adults, $25 children. No deductible, no claim, no bill three weeks later.
- FSA and HSA work here Bring the card.
- You can still claim it back Ask the front desk for a super-bill and submit it to your provider yourself.
“Will I have to keep coming back forever?”
No. This is the fear that keeps most people out of a chiropractor's office, and it is worth answering plainly.
At your second visit — once your exam and x-rays are in front of him — Dr. Tyler walks you through your care plan: what he found, what he'd do about it, and how long it should take. His typical starting plan is 24 visits, and it ends with a re-exam and fresh x-rays, so you both see what changed rather than take anyone's word for it.
You pay per visit — $45, every time, for as long as you choose to come. If you'd rather prepay, blocks of 12 or 24 visits save 15%. That is a discount for people who want it, never a requirement, and nobody will push you toward it.
And if the exam shows chiropractic is not the right answer for what you have, Dr. Tyler will tell you that and point you somewhere better.
“Is it going to hurt?”
Generally not. Most people describe a quick pressure and then relief. If you are guarding an area because it is genuinely painful, Dr. Tyler works around it and uses a gentler technique rather than forcing anything.
He explains what he is about to do before he does it. If you would rather he stopped at any point, say so — that is always fine, and it is never a problem.
Most of our new patients have never been adjusted before. You will not be the first person to be nervous about it.

Dr. Tyler Zaugg, DC
Dr. Tyler earned his Doctor of Chiropractic at Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa, after studying Kinesiology at Grand View University — and before either of those, he served in the United States Marine Corps.
He lives here, in Stewartville, with his wife, their two children and two dogs. If he is not in the clinic he is most likely hunting, golfing, lifting, or on the water. When he examines you, he explains what he found and why — in words that mean something.

“As a family we'd been seen by Dr. Kevin for nearly 2 decades. When he sold his practice I was hopefully optimistic about the new guy… Boy, am I glad I hung on! Dr. Zaugg is an exceptionally talented chiropractor. He's very kind, and gentle. He listens to all my complaints, helps me understand what's wrong, puts it right, and sends me on my way. Just this morning I came in short notice, I had recently fallen and tweaked something in my back. He was able to address all of the issues and send me on my way feeling like a new person!”
